Brussels for a Day

I was going to skip posting about my time in Brussels.

But then I realized, I think that’s what everyone does. It’s said to be known as a boring city or a stop-over city, and so I think people don’t get much time there, and then they don’t really talk about it, and it’s just this vicious cycle of that place called Brussels.

Brussels is really fantastic, even though we did go there only because we couldn’t find a train to Paris. I wish I would have had time and the calorie deficit to consume more naughty things there.  They are known for their beer, waffles, chocolate, and french fries are claimed to have been born in Belgium.

They speak Dutch and French in Belgium, hence the signs in both languages.

Now for the food. I did try the beer, the waffles, the fries, the chocolate oh and a few macaroons for good measure.  I liked being vegan… and then I started to travel… haha.  I still do my best but it’s probably not the strictest vegan diet in the world.  C’est la vie.

This was told to us to be the "tourist" waffle, because a traditional waffle won't have all the toppings. And you can get a LOT of toppings....
